Gray Glorious Gray

You will never believe what happened yesterday? John showed up! Isn't that the way it goes? You find a replacement worker and the original guy comes back. But it's all good - I know John's work so I'd rather stick with what I know.

He spent most of yesterday afternoon/evening hanging new sheetrock and working on the framing of the shower. Today he is going to build the shower bench (yey!!!) and his texture guy is going to finish out the sheetrock. You know what that means.... It's time to paint! Seeing a light at the end of the sheetrocking tunnel I headed to Ace and Lowe's to grab paint colors. I ended up with about 30 or 40 shades of gray. After laying them all out in the bathroom I was left with this:

Round one finalists

The next thing to do (as I learned with the whole floor tile debacle) was to put each color next to the marble tiles to see how well they worked together. After putting all of the colors next to the marble, I ended up with these:

Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray
Valspar Mark Twain House Ombra Gray
Benjamin Moore Platinum Gray
Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray
Benjamin Moore Coventry Gray
Clark and Kensington Winter Chill
Valspar Hazy Stratus
Valspar Urban Sunrise

There was one other color I had in mind - Restoration Hardware's Gravel. I love RH paint (I used their Slate in my entry way and love it). Since the closest RH is about 40 minutes away I used the web and the power of photoshop to create one more sample:

Restoration Hardware Gravel

I took dozens of photos for all of the samples to ensure what you see on the screen is a true representation of the color (we all know how things can look so different online and in person). Now I need your help! Which shade of gray is the one for you? I'm torn and would love your input! Leave me a comment or post on our FB page (http://www.facebook.com/TheRozyHome) with your top choice. Who knows... it just might end up on my wall!
